Reader's Digest called our new mattress “Incredibly cooling and super soft.”
- Best-in-class sustainability - our natural mattress is made from biodegradable natural latex renewably source from rubber tree sap, plus recycled U.S. steel and our flagship Eucalyptus Lyocell. This is the most eco-friendly mattress since humans slept on beds of grass (but, like, way comfier).
- Hybrid design - the inner core is made from two layers of Talalay latex sitting on top of up to 1,032 recycled steel coils, for the perfect balance of back support, pressure relief, responsiveness, and durability. (This also makes it quite heavy.)
- Cooler beds prevail - thanks to heat-resistant hole-punched latex, airflow-promoting coils, and our cooling Eucalyptus Lyocell cover, you’ll never sweat in bed again (unless you choose to 😉).
- Medium-firm - the ideal firmness level according to science, designed for all sleepers: side, back, stomach, combination, fetal, faceplant, downward dog, curled-up-in-a-ball, plank, and more.
- Eucalyptus Lyocell cover - like our signature sheets, the fabric encasing is breathable, cool, moisture-wicking, ultra-hygienic, dust mite and bacteria resistant, and smoother than silk.
- Zero off-gassing - take a deep breath; this natural mattress is made without fiberglass, foam, or plastic.
- Thoughtfully packaged - each mattress is shrink-wrapped (a necessary step to protect your bed) and shipped in 100% recyclable cardboard.
- Certified Fresh - all-natural, vegan, cruelty-free, OEKO-TEX certified latex, and 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.
- Made-to-order - every S&G Mattress is hand-constructed and made-to-order in the USA (Phoenix, to be precise).
- 9.8/10 Sex Score with a perfect 10/10 "Sex Bounce" - an actually real thing. (By NapLab Reviews.)

Info & Size Guide

Sustainable
Designed with the planet in mind. This natural mattress is made with non-toxic, eco-friendly materials, like renewable latex, recycled steel, and eucalyptus fibers. It’s also vegan, cruelty-free, polyurethane-free, fiberglass-free, and virgin plastic-free. Ready for some good, clean sleep?

Comfortable
Constructed from coils and latex, the hybrid design combines the best of both worlds – like a dog who can also operate a vacuum – to promote proper spinal alignment, relieve joint pressure, and distribute weight evenly for a solid night’s sleep every night.

Durable
We chose only high-quality, sustainable materials for this sleeping rectangle. Featuring a base layer of up to 1,032 individually wrapped, tempered steel coils and two layers of durable, highly-responsive Talalay latex, this bed is built to last with a stellar 10-year warranty to back it up.

Breathable
The S&G Mattress is made with two layers of Talalay Latex, which is up to 7 times more breathable than foam or other kinds of latex. Not only that, the cover is made with Eucalyptus Lyocell, the same cooling, moisture-wicking material as our signature sheets.

Reader’s Digest said our mattress is “Incredibly cooling and super soft.”

What's in the mattress?
-
Eucalyptus Lyocell Cover
The outer cover of our mattress is made from the same soft, cool-to-the-touch, moisture-wicking fabric as our signature sheets: Eucalyptus Lyocell. That way, even on wash day, your bed will never be without the luxuriousness of eucalyptus.
- Moisture-wicking
- Breathable
- Temperature-regulating
- Soft and Smooth
- Lovely leaf pattern -
Talalay Latex
The top two inner layers of our mattress is made from Talalay Latex — a firmer bottom layer for support and a softer top layer for comfort. Both layers are carefully calibrated to comfortably and completely cradle your curves (awesome, A+ for alliteration).
Want to know more? Check this out or scroll down where we lay some knowledge on Talalay latex below.
-
Tempered Steel Coils
The base layer of the mattress is covered in up to 1,032 coils made from recycled U.S. steel. The tempered coils are carefully and strategically patterned for support and comfort.
Each 8” coil is individually wrapped, allowing for superior motion isolation and reactivity. Now you won't disturb your bedmate whenever you invite friends over for a little late-night fun 😉 (Jumping Jacks).
Meanwhile, high caliber Ascension®️ perimeter coils along the bed's sides, head, and foot offer greater edge support so you can put your Baby Yoda slippers on without sinking into the mattress.

Why Latex?
-
Sustainable
Unlike petrochemical-based mattresses (ahem, foam), latex is natural, sustainable, biodegradable, and renewable.
-
Responsive
Latex holds its shape, bounces back quickly, and provides superior pressure relief. You won't sink in like you do on a memory foam mattress.
-
Breathable
Talalay latex is up to 7 times more breathable than foam or other kinds of latex. Its unique cell structure dissipates heat and keeps you cool all night long.
-
Hypoallergenic
Latex resists mold, mildew, and dust mites. It’s also inherently anti-fungal and anti-microbial. Buh-bye, bed bugs.
Talalay vs. Dunlop
There are two kinds of latex: Talalay and Dunlop. Our mattress uses Talalay latex from a U.S. company called Talalay Global Latex.
The Talalay latex process takes four times longer than Dunlop because Talalay latex includes two additional steps: vacuum and flash-freezing.
These steps help evenly distribute and suspend the latex particles, giving the finished product a consistent feel from top to bottom.
On the other hand, Dunlop is poured onto a conveyor belt where the heavier latex particles are allowed to sink to the bottom. The result is a more dense, less consistent product overall.
Not to knock Dunlop (we use shredded Dunlop and Kapok for our adjustable pillow), but we think Talalay is a superior material for mattresses.
And the results speak for themselves.
-
Latex Compression Test
Latex Compression Test
This test measures buoyancy.
For this test, three kinds of latex mattress samples are compressed to 50% of their original thickness for 22 hours at 158° F. Afterward, the percent loss in thickness is measured. The greater the percentage, the more likely the bed will leave a you-shaped hole over time. You don’t want that.
-
Latex Impact Test
Latex Impact Test
This test measures durability.
First, the mattress firmness is measured. Next, a weight is repeatedly dropped on the latex for 24 hours. Then, they (kindly) let the mattress recover for 24 hours. The firmness is measured again. The difference determines how much the latex is likely to break down over time. Talalay Global does this test on 9 different spots on every mattress – the only manufacturer in the industry that does so.

Ahh, that new bed smell
Take a deep breath. This all natural mattress doesn’t off-gas. Synthetic mattresses emit harmful VOCs like formaldehyde, toluene, chlorofluorocarbons, benzene, trichloroethane, perfluorocarbons, and hobgoblincarbons (we made one of those up).
The only smell you may experience with the S&G Mattress is “new bed smell” from the latex, but rest assured that no harmful chemicals are being released because Talalay is made of only natural ingredients.
-
Made fresh for you
Your mattress isn’t collecting dust in a warehouse or playing a background extra in a local mattress commercial. Every Sheets & Giggles Eucalyptus Mattress is made-to-order and assembled by hand at a facility in Phoenix, Arizona.
-
Sustainably packaged
The Sheets & Giggles Eucalyptus Mattress is shipped in a recyclable cardboard box. In order to protect your mattress and ship it most efficiently, the mattress is compressed, rolled, and vacuum-sealed with recycled, PVC-free plastic.
FYI, your mattress is heavy, be sure to ask a friend or Peloton instructor for help.
-
Mattress, firm?
What do you get when you combine a soft top layer of latex, a firmer base layer, and up to 1,032 tempered steel coils? A medium-firm mattress. If we had to put a number on it, we’d say it’s a 7 out of 10 on the firmness scale or the perfect combination of support and comfort – ideal for side, back, and stomach sleepers.
-
Naturally cool
Sleep on our eucalyptus sheets but still wake up hot? It might be your mattress’s fault. Mattresses made from foam, memory foam, or cotton trap heat causing you to sweat the bed.
The Sheets & Giggles Eucalyptus Mattress is naturally cooling. We didn’t use dubious cooling technology like Glacier Crystals™ or Chill Chunks™. Instead, we used all-natural, breathable materials like latex, steel coils, and Eucalyptus Lyocell.
How to Be Cool, by the S&G Mattress:
Step 1: Eucalyptus. The cover is made from Eucalyptus Lyocell, the same cooling fabric as our signature sheets.
Step 2: Latex. Talalay latex has a breathable design and cell structure that helps dissipate heat.
Step 3: Coils. A layer of steel coils promotes regular airflow from the core of the mattress to the surface.
Step 4: Dress Cool. Wear breathable, moisture-wicking bedding, like our eucalyptus sheets, duvet cover, or comforter.
-
Built different
Our coils + latex hybrid mattress tends to have a longer lifespan compared to coils + foam hybrids, lasting 7.5 to 8.5 years on average.
Hybrid mattresses with a pocketed coil support core (like ours) are more durable than an innerspring design. Add a couple of layers of latex on top, and we’re confident you’ll be sleeping pretty for many years to come.
Plus, every mattress comes with our stellar 10-year manufacturer warranty.
-
Take care of your bed
Our mattress should be rotated 180 degrees (not flipped) every 6 to 12 months to ensure regular wear.
For occasional deep cleaning, use your vacuum’s upholstery attachment to vacuum the surface and sides of the mattress. Blot any stains with a gentle cleanser, followed by a clean cloth dipped in cold water. Be careful not to get the mattress too wet. Allow the mattress to dry, and then apply baking soda to the surface of the mattress to soak up any lingering smells. Give it a few hours to fully absorb, then vacuum up the baking soda using the upholstery attachment.
Additionally, we recommend a waterproof mattress protector to defend against spills and stains and prolong your mattress's life.

What we left out
When you design a mattress from scratch, you have a lot of options. We said “No” to most of them.
Here is what you WON’T find in the S&G Mattress:
- Polyfoam (basically plastic)
- Memory foam (plastic with more chemicals)
- Virgin polyester
- Fiberglass
- Cotton (Here’s why)
- Manchego
What do all these materials have in common? Two things: They’re unsustainable, and they’re cheap (aside from the cheese).
Call us crazy, but we think the thing you put your face and body on every night shouldn’t be filled with petrochemicals and toxins.
“You’re crazy!” -Big Oil, probably
