At Sheets & Giggles, sustainability, comfort, and community are at the heart of everything we do, and have been for nearly a decade. When we designed our Adjustable Cooling Pillow, we decided to try something different, and partnered with Mile High Workshop here in Denver to build something truly special.
About Mile High Workshop
Mile High Workshop, based in Denver, is a nonprofit social enterprise that provides job training and employment opportunities to individuals facing barriers to work, including those transitioning from homelessness, incarceration, or addiction recovery. Their mission is to create lasting social impact by empowering people with the skills and confidence needed to rebuild their lives.
The organization offers a supportive, hands-on environment where individuals can gain valuable work experience in industries like assembly, kitting, and manufacturing. What sets them apart is their commitment to second chances. Their programs provide structured, meaningful work opportunities to those who often struggle to find employment due to their past experiences.
By focusing on job readiness and providing mentorship, Mile High Workshop helps individuals transition from challenging life circumstances to self-sufficiency and stability. Everyone at MHW also makes a living wage, helping to lower our local recidivism and homelessness rates.
Our Partnership
Since 2022, we've partnered with Mile High Workshop to assemble our plant-based pillows right here in Denver. This collaboration allows us to not only create a high-quality product, but also contribute to a meaningful cause. "Do good, sleep good."
Through this partnership, Mile High Workshop provides critical work opportunities to individuals who are working hard to rebuild their lives, giving them skills in manufacturing and assembly.
Each pillow produced is more than just a product; it's a symbol of hope and renewal, crafted by hands that are writing new chapters in their lives. Amanda, pictured above with our Founder and CEO Colin, makes many of our pillows by hand, and she has been able to reconnect with family and purchase her own condo since joining Mile High Workshop.
